Traffic and Transportation
Infra Tech Engineering works extensively with FHWA’s Digital Urban Traffic Control System, utilizes HCS, Passer IV, TRANPLAN, CORSIM, SYNCHRO, TRANSYT, AutoCAD, Intergraph Microstation, and ArcView.
Our Team has experience with traffic recorders, electronic turning movement counters, permanent and portable inductive loops and piezos, and total survey stations (AI, GPS, and robotic GIS).
ITE’s Traffic and Transportation Group also creates detailed databases of features and inspection records, utilizing both public domain programs (MicroPaver), and commercial programs (such as Visual PMS) to develop inspection inventories, condition analyses, and predictive models in line with AASHTO Guidelines for Pavement Management Systems.
Structural Engineering
Infra Tech Engineering’s Structural Engineering Group has prepared final design and PS&E packages for over 30 bridges, from structural design to construction inspection.
Our team has experience conducting bridge deck inspections, load and fatigue ratings, seismic analyses and retrofits, BRPR’s Bridge/Deck Evaluation Reports, vulnerability assessments, preliminary and final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for clients.
ITE’s Structural Design Group delivers support services such as shop drawing reviews, and constructability reviews.
Civil/Highway Engineering
ITE’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group (C/HEG) boasts extensive expertise and decades of experience. Each of our key project managers has more than 20 years of engineering and management experience. In addition, we partner closely with numerous specialty firms whose proficiency spans environmental assessments, soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, and several other key disciplines.
From the design and management of advanced pavement systems to the use of state-of-the-art analysis to the latest technology, the C/HEG delivers exemplary services for the design of urban roads and highways, airport pavement design, rail track design, storm drainage design, and utility systems design.
Rail Transit Engineering
ITE’s Rail Transit Engineering Group is headed by a 30-year rail veteran, and has expanded rapidly. Our past projects range from the conceptual layout of New Jersey Transit’s diesel fleet, to the preparation of technical and economic studies for New York City’s massive Hunt’s Point Produce Market, to the inspection and rehabilitation of MTA/LIRR bridge structures.
Construction Management and Inspection
ITE’s Construction Inspection and Management Group (CIMG) has provides consummate construction inspection, resident engineering, and construction management services for planning, quality control inspection, CMP scheduling, and risk analyses associated with all types of construction contracts. We monitor, manage, and mitigate the potential for claims and provide comprehensive support during any litigation.
Material Testing
ITE’s newly-established material testing lab is AASHTO accredited to perform material testing on a wide range of common construction materials such as: concrete, and soils (large and fine aggregate). Our material testing team is also certified to conduct concrete plant inspections and field inspections.
