Each of our key project managers has more than 20 years of engineering and management experience. NYSDOT - Route 347 Reconstruction, Suffolk County, NY
Infra Tech Engineering served as Project Engineer and provided Phase V and VI design services for traffic signage, pavement markings, and erosion control on a 5-mile segment of Route 347 in Region 10. Infra Tech Engineering’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group also prepared a Pavement Evaluation Report and a PS&E Package for the first contract.
NYSDOT - I-87 Major Deegan Expressway, Bronx County, NY
Infra Tech Engineering served as prime consultant on this $20 million project. Infra Tech Engineering’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group developed operational and safety improvements in Design Phases I-V in the Major Deegan Expressway corridor from West 179th Street to Van Cortland Park South. The project scope included traffic operation and accident-data development, inventory of roadways and appurtenances, data analysis, alternatives development and evaluation, SYNCHRO traffic simulation in the evaluation process, preferred-alternate selection, preliminary design plans preparation, cost estimation, and design approval documents.
NYSDOT - Citywide Bridge/ Viaduct Security and Access Protection, New York, NY
NYSDOT retained Infra Tech Engineering to develop and design security and access protection for 50 structures on the state highway system. After detailed inspection of all project sites, our project team developed security measures to protect NYSDOT-owned bridges and viaducts from potential security threats and vandalism. Infra Tech Engineering’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group prepared a complete inventory of all sites and detailed inspection reports. Our team then proposed a range of security measures, including vandal-proof fencing, surveillance cameras, and security lighting. Infra Tech Engineering’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group ultimately delivered a design report which included a Scope Summary Memorandum for Phases I-IV, and final plans, cost estimates, and contract documents for Phases (V-VI).
NYSDOT - Route 9A Reconstruction Project - Segments 3-6, Manhattan, NY
As primary subconsultant to the Vollmer/Bechtel team for the $200 million Route 9A Reconstruction Final Design, Infra Tech Engineering’s Civil/Highway Engineering Group provided a diverse range of engineering services, including surveying and mapping, permanent and temporary traffic signage design, permanent and temporary striping design, MPT plans, sewer inspection and evaluation, updated utilities surveys, drainage designs (storm and combined), and structural design of storm sewer regulators and tide gates.
